The location is unrivalled, boasting the best surf beach with a separate roadside kiosk for quick stop offs – Beach Goods, Ice Lollies & ‘Solleys’ Scoop Ice Creams made locally in Deal… Yummy flavours!
Joss Bay Café serves cold & hot drinks including excellent Barista Coffee along with Take Away Hot Food including 100% Beef burgers (please note menu may be limited currently due to covid 19). Other options normally include Toastie’s with some tasty fillings including a Vegetarian option, a Kids Menu option and breakfast sandwiches served in the mornings. Arrive at the side window for your soft Ice Cream & Ice Lolly treats, then take a pew on the outside tables and benches. Inside the Café you can enjoy floor to ceiling windows with handmade wooden seating, plus the new handmade wooden and resin counter is spectacular and if you look very carefully you may see the ocean in the resin. Please be aware that our Open & Close times may vary throughout the season due to the weather, keep an eye out on our social media pages as we update these regularly when possible.
We are an eco-friendly establishment so only use take away packaging that is either paper, plant starch or compostable. In an attempt to reduce plastic in our oceans we do not stock any straws whatsoever! Please bring your own bags for your rubbish waste and use the council bins at the top of the steps on your way home… please remember we are a take away cafe, it is your responsibility to dispose of any rubbish after purchasing from the cafe or kiosk…(do not leave on the tables or anywhere else on the beach..Thank you!) We would please also encourage everybody who does buy from our cold drink section to take your recyclables home and use your normal recycling bins! (*Free Fresh Drinking Water available from the push button the shower at the bottom of the slope*)

There is paid parking available in the main Thanet Council Car Park & Green also along Elmwood Avenue, please ensure have downloaded the ringo app prior to arrival as there is no longer a coin machine so that you can log your parking session….Costs to park have now been reduced to £5 all day or £1 per hour. LOCAL RESIDENTS – don’t forget you can buy up to 20 parking vouchers on line making the car park only £2.60 per day*.
Please note we are not in association with the Car Park. There is also parking available sometimes in the Farmers field for £5 all day!
